LAKE THURMOND RV Park is a beautiful 20-acre park, quietly nestled about 2 1/2 miles down the street from Lake Thurmond. Full and partial hookups are available. They offer daily, weekly, and monthly rates. When pulling your camper into Lake Thurmond RV Park, you can always expect a friendly greeting, superb amenities and high-quality accommodations. Q: How many RV sites are available?
A: We currently have 43 sites, all but 8 of which have full hookup, meaning water, electric, and sewer.
Q: Do you recommend SLV residents use Lake Thurmond RV Park as a place to keep a camper for fishing and hunting season?
A: Of course! We welcome hunters and fishermen.
Q: What are some amenities you would like to highlight?
A: We have Wi-Fi, a laundry room with a small library, and two private shower bathrooms. We also have a community area with a fire pit and a playground that is used not only by our guests, but several of our neighbors who bring their kids to enjoy it as well.
Q: Do you plan on the Farmers’ Market returning and when?
A: Yes, it will be returning Tuesday, September 21. However, until then, we regularly sell locally made Farmer’s Market items in our store.
Q: What are some of the items sold at the campground store you want people to know about?
A: We have a variety of locally made products, including goat milk soaps and lotions, salsas and jams,eggs, specialty cakes, and hydroponically grown herbs. We also carry RV supplies, soft drinks, beer and snacks. We will be adding more items as we go.
Q: Do you have any other upcoming events planned?
A: We will be having regular hot dog cookouts over the summer. Stay tuned for our 1st anniversary celebration details…
Q: What has been a favorite past event?
A: The Photos with Santa was an especially fun event, as people brought their kids and their pets. All of the proceeds from the event went to the McCormick County Humane Society. But of course, we loved our Easter Egg Hunt as well!
